Week With Danielle

This past week was super fun!  Eric's sister Danielle came to visit for the entire week.  We did a lot of sitting around and just hanging out.  Eric played lots of video games and Danielle and I did a lot of surfing the net and watching Eric play his games.  We also decided we wanted to visit a bunch of different places in the area that we hadn't had time to yet since we moved here. Basically we decided where we were going to go based on what restaurant we wanted to go to.

Eric and I had seen this noodle house place that we wanted to take Danielle on Monday.
We thought it was Thai but it was Vietnamese.  We decided to be adventurous and try it anyway.  It was...interesting.  Eric ordered soup and Danielle and I ordered noodle bowls.  We laughed a lot when they brought it out because Eric's looked really gross and ours looked really yummy.
So, Wednesday we decided to go to Bricktown which is in downtown Oklahoma City.  We went to the Spaghetti Factory and
 it was yummo.
We walked around Bricktown afterwords.  It was really cold!  We stopped at Starbucks for some hot drinks and then walked to the botanical gardens which was totally decked out for Christmas.  We took lots of pictures with the beautiful lights.

Thursday was schnitzel night!  We found this German restaurant about 25 minutes away.  It was a blast.  Eric talked to the owner in German :)  We all had the amazing schnitzel and reminisced about our adventures in Germany.

When we got home we took a Christmas picture in front of our Christmas tree.  We all (including Little Miss Wright) wore our santa hats :)

Friday night we decided to be adventurous again.  Eric had read in a magazine (while waiting at the Dr's office for me) about this restaurant in Meers Oklahoma.  They have been open since 1901 and the article said that you can't claim to be a resident of Oklahoma unless you have been to Meers.  So, of course we had to go!  It was about 1 & 1/2 hours away and we felt like we were driving to the middle of no where.  We literally were.  Meers has a population of 6!  They are famous for their Seismic Meers Burger.  We all 3 shared this huge burger, freedom
fries, fried green beans and onions.  We were so full but had to try their homemade ice cream and peach cobbler and coconut cream pie.  What were we thinking!  We were so stuffed but the food was amazing.

On the drive home from Meers we saw a Festival of Lights and had to stop.  We drove through this big park filled with Christmas lights and decorations.

It was an awesome week with lots of laughing.  I am so thankful that Danielle could come visit us for half of her leave time.  I really enjoyed being able to sit around and talk girl talk with her too!
